ChatGPT or a tool that knows your channel: which to use for YouTube?
ChatGPT can write a YouTube script. So can every other chatbot. The question is not whether it can, but how much you have to explain each time, and how much you fix afterwards.
Here is an honest look at what a general chatbot is good at, and when a tool built around your channel saves you time.
The difference in one table
What we measured
We ran the same 10 video ideas through ChatGPT with a plain prompt and through Cuely's Writing Agent, then counted signs of AI writing: overused words, long dashes, "-ing" tails, "not X, it's Y" and lists of three.
When ChatGPT is enough
- You make videos now and then and do not mind writing a long prompt.
- You want ideas or a rough outline, and you will write the script yourself.
- You already pay for it and use it for lots of other things.
When a channel tool saves time
- You post every week and are tired of explaining your channel again.
- You want to fix one part of a script without losing the rest.
- You want to see where viewers might leave before you film.
- You want the title, description and tags done in the same place.
You can try both on the same video. Write it in your usual chat, paste it into Cuely and run the retention check to see what it finds.
Questions
Is Cuely built on ChatGPT?
Cuely uses models from OpenAI and others. The difference is in what it knows about your channel and how it checks and edits a draft in steps.
Can I use both?
Yes. Many creators brainstorm in a chatbot and do the script, checks and publishing details in a tool made for YouTube.
